It is so hard to believe that Michael is 9 months now - where did the time go? Today, we went for his 9 month check-up, and the next appointment I had to make was for his 1 year old check-up. I almost cried standing right there in the doctor's office. Michael received 1 shot today, which was a nice break from the usual 3-5. Michael weighed exactly 20 pounds and was 29" long. He measures in the 50th percentile for weight and almost the 75th percentile for height. We did receive some bad news - he has yet another double ear infection. Poor little guy - December 1st cannot get here fast enough - this is the day he gets ear tubes!!!
At physical therapy on Tuesday, he did an excellent job. The therapist was very impressed with his ability to crawl, pull up and take steps. Michael loves to push his walker toy and walk behind it. He even learned to crawl up stairs at therapy - we are not sure about this one because now he makes a bolt for our stairs any chance he gets. He loves to let go of the table, chair, or whatever he has pulled up on to see if he can stand without holding on - it's so cute! He is definitely all boy.
Michael also had his head scanned yesterday, and he showed more gradual improvement in his head rounding, so no helmet for Mr. Bird. We are all done scanning now as his head will not grow too much after he turns a year old.
Michael is a joy, and you must keep an eye on him at all times. He's quick, quiet and will clear a table faster than you can imagine.
